About Tailwagrrrs

Kathleen DuffeyI am Kathleen Duffey, owner of Tailwagrrrs, which I created for the love of dogs. I am a professional dog walker, trainer and all breed dog groomer. I am a strong believer in the overall health and welfare of our four legged pals. As a result of my passion I have developed my own line of organic healthy treats called Mutt Muffins and Mutt Cakes (the ulti-mutt birthday cake for dogs and cats). My goal is to provide guidance, friendship, respect, love, kindness and education to my four legged as well as my two legged clients. I believe that having a dog or cat is a great responsibility and learning about them is an ongoing adventure.

MaggieMaggie, AKA Muggins is my 15 year young Scottish terrier. She was born in Nova Scotia and has travelled with me to Ontario where we were university students together and then to British Columbia to be mountain women. She is my side kick and the love of my life. At 11 years old she went 90% hard of hearing and cataracts were forming in her eyes. Needless to say this did not settle well with me so after much research I switched her to the raw food diet....her hair became thick again, her nails were not brittle anymore and her cataracts went away!! It worked for her!! To this day she joins me on my dog hikes (min 2 hours) BUT she most enjoys living in the lap of luxury.

MarleyMarley, AKA ween, weener, weenie weenie pumpin eenie, is my 11 year old standard dachshund. She joined Maggie and me in Ontario ... so then we were three. It took Maggie a little while to warm up to her but I instantly fell in love. She loves to hike in the woods. Her nose leads her in many different directions, if only her legs could keep up with that nose!! Marley is in LOVE with the raw food diet ... her teeth turned from plaque covered to white!! Marley also joins us on the hikes and is constantly checking up on Maggie ... they are best buds now!! Food is her favourite thing in the whole world and after a good feed she burrows under any blanket for a nap!

CeilidhCeilidh is my 4 year old rotti/shepard mix. She joined our pack in Whistler, British Columbia. I was managing a doggy daycare and Ceilidh (formerly known as Carman) was dropped off one day and ended up staying. It just so happened I was looking for a running and training partner.... she fit the bill! We took our dog training course together and passed with flying colours. She says it was all me and I say it was all her, we make a great team! She loves Maggie and Marley and is a great protector of them. Ceilidh is also a "raw food" dog which I believe has kept her focused, behaved, and gives her lots of energy for our hikes. There is no plaque to be found on her teeth, at 4 years of age!
